
EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMS


Our Enrichment Program offers additional classroom time to extend the school day until 2:00 PM for 3-, 4- and 5-year-old children. Enrichment classes include:
Young Explorers Science Workshop - Do you want to be a meteorologist and study and make clouds? Then join the Young Explorers class! we also make and study rainbows, snow, plants, the capillary action of water and diet coke-mentos rockets, just to name a few.
Lunch Bunch-Does your 3-year-old ever ask to have lunch packed like his big brother or sister? Does she love school so much that she would like to stay a little longer? If so, come and join the 3's lunch bunch crew! Here, your child will have a light lunch as well as play board games, freeze dance, and other fun activities while enjoying the company of his or her peers! This is an environment for conversation, friendship, and fun!
Mini-Picasso-Does your child like to draw and color? Would you like to introduce them to a word of art? All you need is a smock and a little imagination for Mini-Picassos. Using famous artists or literature as inspiration, students will create their own masterpieces.
Pre-Literacy-Foster a love of books and reading in this fun pre-literacy class! Great children's literature will be shared each week. Many classes will be devoted to understanding the parts of a story and then acting them out. The book of the day will be used to teach many kindergarten readiness and pre-reading skills, including: letter recognition, rhyming, sight words, syllables, phonics and sequencing.
Fun with Fitness-Get moving with this super fun class that combines movement, games, mindfulness and sports! Yoga, relays, and obstacle courses are just a few things included in this class to improve balance, gross motor skills, and build sportsmanship.
Kindergarten Readiness-This enrichment program will boost readiness skills for entering Kindergarten. It will help to strengthen letter and number recognition, letter sounds, rhyming, story sequencing, fine motor and listening skills. A game format is used for many of the activities.
Storytime S.T.E.A.M. - S.T.E.A.M. is the combination of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. After a read aloud of a familiar story your child will have opportunities for hands-on play manipulating and building with different materials. Through the process of experimenting and exploring, the children are using creative and critical thinking skills. Let's see what new and innovative solutions they can come up with!
