Megan Kennedy

Head Teacher, 2's Transition

Megan loves being part of the wonderful St. Mark's Nursery School community.  Her journey with SMNS began when she took a tour of the school with her oldest son, and he immediately began playing in the indoor playroom.  Meg's two sons attended SMNS, and they each started in the 2's Transition Class (which she now teaches).  When her youngest graduated, Meg was thrilled to take on a teaching position and remain a part of the St. Mark's family.  She firmly believes in the school's philosophy that play is essential for learning,

Meg graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Psychology and earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Fordham University.  For seven years, she taught a kindergarten and first grade multi-age class at P.S.3; an arts focused public elementary school in Manhattan.  She enjoys learning and growing alongside the children and families in her class.  When not at SMNS, Meg loves to spend time in nature with her husband and sons.
